ok guys here ya go the seal for the hydraulic pump is Brand: SKF Number: 4985 bought seal from local store but they may ship!!! www.sykessupply.com/The seal is easy to replace there is an O-Ring inside as you will see in the pics below. I took pictures of the pump a part and back together to help others see what is there. the old and new seal both sides new is much better the pump with no seal Pump inside Pump with old Seal Pump with new seal look how much better this one is around the shaft so it can't blow out like the other did The best part my pump doesn't leak anymore and it works like a new one. Hope this helps others fix theres cheaply. cost was $3.20 plus tax for the seal and ididn't need an O-Ring as mine was still good.

Hello, I posted this in the techical section but I saw your post and wondered if you had the "how to" to help me fix my auto hyd lift. I have a 8123G and the auto hydraulic lift does not work. The pump is good, but something inside the engine is damaged or not connected because the shaft coming out of the engine is not turning the pump. I guess the enging has to come off to fix this. Is this a pain to fix? Is it worth it? I am in no way a stellar mechanic. My ability to fix things is limited. But I have the tools and the time and tempted to tackle this. Thanks for your time. Mike

not hard to remove the motor and then there is a gear in the trans that runs all the time on the motor gear. look under mu 816 rebuild you will see the motor off one and see the trans inside to get an idea of where the gear is at. here's that gear in the red circle it is possible the key is missing or sheared off or the retainer has come off and the gear walked out of place.

Thanks. I'm still mulling over whether I have the expertise to do something like this. It would be a challenge for me, but nothing ventured, nothing gained!
